Kartz Pros — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 September 2026

Kartz Pros ("we", "us"), an ExtremeKartz network, connects golf-cart owners with independent installation professionals who come to your driveway. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and what you can make us do about it.

We have tried to write this in plain language. Where we say "we don't", we mean we don't.

---

1. Who this covers

Three groups, with meaningfully different data:

  • Customers — people who book an installation.
  • Installers — the independent professionals who perform it. Becoming one involves a

background check and insurance verification, so we hold more about you than we do about a customer.

  • Visitors — anyone browsing the site without an account.

---

2. What we collect
From customers

| What | Why | Where it comes from | |---|---|---| | Name, email, phone | To book the job, confirm it, and let your installer reach you | You | | Service address (street, city, ZIP, and coordinates if you pick from suggestions) | So a pro can get to your driveway, and to choose the closest available one | You | | Golf-cart details (make, model, year, power type) | To quote the right service and send someone qualified | You | | Job history, photos of the completed work, reviews | Proof of work, warranty claims, support | You and your installer | | Payment details | To take payment | Stripe — we never see or store your card number | | Message threads with your installer | Support and dispute resolution | You and your installer | | A booking you started but didn't finish | To save your progress and — if you gave us your email — send you a link to pick up where you left off | You |

From installers

Everything a customer provides, plus: business name, service area, categories, a certificate of insurance, background-check results, tax/payout details held by Stripe, skills assessment results, and job performance history (acceptance rate, on-time rate, rating).

If you start an installer application and don't finish it, we save your progress and — if you gave us your email — send you a link to pick up where you left off.

Automatically, from everyone

Standard web data — pages viewed, approximate location from IP, device and browser, referring site — plus analytics events describing how far you got in booking or applying.

Analytics cookies are off until you accept them. See §6.

---

3. What we deliberately do not collect
  • We never store your card number. Payments go directly to Stripe.
  • We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context

behavioural advertising as those terms are used in California law.

  • Our analytics never receives your name, email, phone, or street address. Where we

measure demand by area, we send only the first three digits of a ZIP.

  • We don't record calls or read your messages except when investigating a specific

support issue or dispute you or your installer has raised.

---

4. Who we share it with, and why

| Who | What they get | Why | |---|---|---| | Your installer | Your name, phone, and exact address — only after they accept your job, and only while it is active | They have to find you | | Stripe | Payment and payout details | Processing payments and paying installers | | Checkr | Applicant identity details | Background checks — installers only, with your written authorization first | | Telnyx | Phone numbers | SMS updates. Numbers are masked in the two-way relay: your installer does not see your real number | | Resend | Email address | Transactional email — sign-in links, confirmations | | Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, Places) | Pseudonymous analytics identifiers; address text you type into the address box | Measurement and address autocomplete | | Vercel, Neon | Hosting and database | Running the service | | Anthropic | Application text for pre-screening; support conversation text | AI pre-screen and support assistance. A machine never has the final word on an installer application — a human reviews every decision |

We will also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.

Address protection is enforced in the product, not just promised here. Until an installer accepts your job, they see only your city and ZIP. Once the job is finished, their view reverts to city level.

---

5. How long we keep it
  • Job records, including photos and payment records: seven years, for tax, warranty and

dispute purposes.

  • Background-check results: as required by FCRA and our retention obligations.
  • Message threads: for the life of the account.
  • Analytics: 14 months in Google Analytics.
  • Deleted accounts: personal fields are anonymised while the financial record of the

transaction is retained, because we are required to keep it.

---

6. Cookies and analytics

We use:

  • Strictly necessary cookies — sign-in sessions, security. These cannot be switched off,

because the site does not work without them.

  • Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand

how people use the site.

Analytics cookies are not set until you accept them. You will see a banner on your first visit; nothing analytics-related loads before you choose. You can change your mind at any time from the link in the footer.

We do not use advertising cookies.

---

7. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • See what we hold about you,
  • Correct it,
  • Delete it — subject to the retention obligations in §5,
  • Export it in a portable format,
  • Stop marketing messages, at any time, without affecting transactional ones.

If you are in California, you additionally have the right to know what is collected and to opt out of sale or sharing — and as stated in §3, we do neither. If you are in the EEA or UK, our legal bases are contract (to provide the service), legitimate interests (safety, fraud prevention, service improvement), and consent (analytics cookies, marketing).

We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

To make a request, email privacy@kartzpros.com. We respond within 45 days, and we may ask you to confirm your identity first — otherwise the request itself becomes a way to get at someone else's data.

---

8. Text messages and email

We send SMS about your job — an installer is on the way, a job is finished. You opt in when you book or apply, and consent is recorded with a timestamp. Reply STOP to any message to stop them. Message and data rates may apply.

We also send service emails: booking confirmations and receipts, appointment reminders, review requests, membership renewal and payment notices, and links to resume something you started. Reminder emails carry an unsubscribe link in the footer; unsubscribing stops the reminders but not receipts, payment notices, or account-security messages, which we have to be able to send.

We honour quiet hours: non-urgent messages queue rather than arrive in the middle of the night.

---

9. Children

Kartz Pros is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect anything from children. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

---

10. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Job photos and insurance certificates live in private storage and are served only to the specific people entitled to see them — the customer, the assigned installer, and administrators. Access to production data is limited to staff who need it and is logged.

No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

---

11. Changes

If we change this policy materially, we will say so on this page and, where it matters, ask you to acknowledge it. The version and date at the top always reflect the current text.
